Frequently Ask Questions

Can parents stay during the settling-in period?

To help children settle more easily, we encourage parents to gradually introduce them to the childcare environment. Children may initially attend for short periods, such as 30 minutes, then gradually increase to one hour, two hours, and longer as they become more comfortable. This approach helps children build trust with their carers, become familiar with their surroundings, and develop confidence and independence in their new environment.

To help your child have a comfortable and enjoyable first day, please bring:

  • A change of clothes
  • Nappies, wipes, and nappy cream (if applicable)
  • A labelled water bottle
  • Formula milk, bottles, or special dietary items (if required)
  • A comfort item such as a favourite blanket or soft toy (optional)

Please ensure that all personal belongings are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
